Rindge Estate, looking approximatley south west across Beacon st. ca 1900
These buildings are situated on what is currently 89 Beacon St.
Back then the "Rindge" Estate
"Mainhouse" was at the top of the hill towards the ocean, behind the photographers vantage.
This photo was taken by my great great grandfather William B. Peach
who at this time was living in the "cottage", opposite this barn.
The family horse "Major" is seen on the left by the spruce tree, likely hitched to a sleigh.
In the back ground "Steer Swamp"and stone wall some of which can still be seen in the
surrounding conservation land.
